Dennis Arp is the group leader for Citizens’ Climate Lobby's North Orange County/Southeast LA County chapter, which encompasses three congressional districts: CA-38 (Rep. Linda Sanchez), CA-39 (Rep. Young Kim) and CA-40 (Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard). CCL is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization dedicated to combatting climate change, building support in Congress for national bipartisan solutions, and empowering people to exercise their personal and political power. Dennis has lobbied on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., on CCL’s behalf; his CCL chapter currently is planning a rally and march in OC in October to encourage climate change activism. In his day job, Dennis is a senior editor on the communications team at Chapman University in Orange.

Do you recognize this incredible woman? Highly awarded professor, authority on constitutional law, health law, women's rights and race in America...a leader, a speaker, an expert relied upon by television, radio and printed media...Professor Michele Goodwin is joining us to share her insights and expertise on what is happening to us today.

Professor Goodwin is the 2022 recipient of the American Bar Association's Margaret Brent Award and she is also the recipient of the 2020-21 Distinguished Senior Faculty Award for Research, the highest honor bestowed by the University of California along with numerous other awards and honors.

Dr. Goodwin is the is the author of the award-winning book, Policing The Womb: Invisible Women and the Criminalization of Motherhood. She is an acclaimed bioethicist, constitutional law scholar, and prolific author. She directed the first ABA accredited health law program in the nation and established the first law center focused on race and bioethics. Her constitutional law scholarship appears in the Harvard Law Review, Yale Law Journal, Chicago Law Review, Cornell Law Review, University of Pennsylvania Law Review, California Law Review, Michigan Law Review, New York Law Review, and Northwestern Law Review among others. She is the author/editor of six books.

A leading scholar who speaks with authority about the U.S. Supreme Court, race in America, and Women's rights (to name a few), Dr. Goodwin has become a regular guest on MSNBC's The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell and Deadline: White House with Nicolle Wallace. You may find Dr. Goodwin's work in print, radio and television news, including at Politico, Salon.com, Forbes, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, Chicago Sun-Times, Vox, and Mother Jones. She has made appearances on ABC News; NBC News, NPR, and HBO's Vice News among others.

Outside of the classroom, Dr. Goodwin is the Executive Producer of Ms. Studios, host of the popular podcast: On The Issues With Michele Goodwin.

Dr. Michael A. Moodian is a faculty member at Chapman University. He co-directs Wilkinson College’s Orange County Annual Survey and teaches for the leadership studies minor and master of arts in leadership development programs.

The Orange County Register in 2021 named Mike Moodian to its 125 Most Influential People in Orange County list.

Mike is cofounder of the inaugural Orange County Sustainability Decathlon.

The Sustainability Decathlon is a major competition in which 18 college teams from across the globe will design and build innovative, net-zero homes and display them at a sustainable village at the OC Fair & Event Center in October 2023.

Mike released the television documentary Coastal Crisis: California’s Vanishing Beaches, which PBS aired this year in the L.A. region. The documentary explores the causes and effects of coastal erosion on California’s beaches.
